Activities
We offer a wide range of activities, some of which are highlighted below. We are able to combine a variety of activities and create bespoke experiences based on your requirements. We are very flexible in terms of location, price and duration so please get in touch to see how we can work with you.
Day Trips
You’d be amazed at what you can achieve in a day!! This can be anything from an enjoyable walk in the woods, to a day of rock-climbing, abseiling and mountain biking. An ascent of Snowdon or a day solving puzzles in the Peak District. We will happily discuss with you what your requirements & objectives are and we will tailor a bespoke activity day for you and your group depending on the needs that you have. We are happy to help organise transport and food provision too if required.
Residentials
There is something special about getting away on a residential experience. We know that for many people, residentials have provided some of the most significant “moments” in their lives. We are able to organise bespoke experiences based entirely on your requirements. Talk to us about your objectives, how far, how long, activities, price bracket, accommodation style… and we’ll come back to you with a tailored residential experience. We can organise and co-ordinate logistics, travel, accommodation & food too as required.
Campfire Conversations
The campfire environment is powerful! Sometimes we ALL need to talk about the deeper things in life. We refer to these as “campfire conversations” where a few people are together, staring at the flames, sharing stories and talking about life. If you and your friends, family, work-colleagues, fancy spending an evening around the campfire then let us know and we will organise it for you – marshmallows, hot-chocolate and conversation included as required. “Campfire conversations” can also happen elsewhere – on a walk, making a bow-and-arrow, sitting by a lake, etc.
Family Events
We love to provide opportunities for families to spend some quality time together, having fun, enjoying being together, working as a team, challenging and encouraging each other. Our whole range of activities are available and we can design a bespoke experience to suit you and your family. A day climbing to the summit of a mountain together – where you can enjoy good and important conversations without worrying about navigation or pace! Or how about one of our survival-days where you can learn a range of bushcraft skills, make bows & arrows, start a campfire, cook a meal of rabbit (or fish), build a shelter – maybe you could stay overnight as we toast marshmallows around the campfire! Have you ever thought about trusting your child with your life? – a day of family climbing, scrambling & navigation will give you that opportunity to show trust. Our NEW “escape-from” experiences are a fantastic day-out for the whole family; a variety of difficulties that will enable each member of the family to contribute to the success of managing to find the clues, solve the problems and get home (with a prize). There’s so much we can do for you and your family – so get in touch and let us know what you’re looking for.
Escape From...
NEW and exciting. You may have done an “escape-room” – but why not challenge yourself to try and escape from the natural environment we place you in. You will need to find clues, solve puzzles in order to progress. You snacks, lunch and even you way-home may be at stake. Work well together as a team, face the challenges, discover new skills, leadership and confidence, and maybe…. If you’re good enough – you’ll escape with the prize-hamper full of goodies… (and your car-keys!)
Bushcraft, Archery & Campfire
Come and spend an afternoon, an evening, a day, or a weekend with us as we show you some of the best and more enjoyable aspects of survival. Learn to start a campfire, build a shelter, setup a hammock, set a snare, make a bow & arrow, prepare a rabbit or fish dinner. The experience of take care of yourself and surviving is well-rewarded by some great campfire-conversations at the end of the day.
Duke of Edinburgh
We support and endorse the DofE scheme and believe it is a really positive thing for young people to work towards. Our founder, Alan Stapleton, is proud to hold his DofE Gold Award. We are able to provide in-school sessions around navigation, expedition planning, kit preparation, and campcraft skills. We can then provide and deliver the expedition aspect of the schemes. We work with schools on both Junior and Senior DofE schemes, get in touch to discuss how we can support you.
Mentoring, Coaching, Support
Sometimes it’s helpful and important to be able to talk things through and “process” life. We have years of experience in mentoring, coaching, leadership development and we are good at just listening to people. The outdoors environment provides a great place for some of these conversations as we walk and talk together and you have the chance to discuss the events going on in your life. If you have a particular mentoring objective, or if you just want to talk certain things through then get in touch and we can discuss how we might support and encourage you. We are able to arrange a series of mentoring support sessions which will enable individuals to go on a journey of development in the pre-agreed areas of life.
Team Building Events
We have run some fantastic, fun, engaging and thought-provoking team-building sessions for a wide range of groups. Anything from a simple evening of activities together to a full-on day problem-solving, team-games, team-work challenges including time for debrief and analysis. Work together – or compete against each other – you decide. The levels of the activities can be judged based on the group-ability and we can agree on duration. Depending on what your objectives are for the time together – we will design a bespoke session to be agreed with you to meet your requirements.
